Volunteer Opportunities - First Touch Teams


Giving back is a core value at Resurrection Church. After you've attended a New Members class, and completed your First Steps book with a trusted mentor, members can get involved by joining a First Touch Team, such as:


  • Worship Ministry: Worship ministry is an integral part of RCA, serving as a vibrant expression of devotion and connection to our God. This ministry encompasses a variety of roles and responsibilities, all aimed at enhancing the worship experience for congregants. It is not just about music; it includes prayer, teaching, and creating an atmosphere where individuals can encounter God in a radical way.

  • Ushers & Greeters: The first face people see when they visit would be your smiling faces. Make a lasting impression on God's people by operating in the spirit of Joy, greeting everyone who walks through the door. You are a vital part of the experience at RCA.

  • Security Team: You are now guardians and Gatekeepers, as Head of Security likes to call it, not only does the team ensures a safe environment for everyone in service, they also make sure the perimeter and children in other buildings are safe as well.

  • Youth Ministry: Volunteering in the Youth Ministry is more than just changing diapers, and handing out snacks. It's providing young people with the guidance, support, and community they need to grow in their faith and navigate the challenges of childhood. Our goal is to always seeking to empower the next generation to lead lives of purpose and faithfulness.

  • Media: In today's information-rich era, we act as modern-day scribes, much like those in ancient times who meticulously recorded events and knowledge. Join us as we document our thoughts, experiences, and share it with the world around us.

  • Church Maintenance: Help maintain the church grounds and facilities, ensuring a welcoming environment for all.


    Music Ministry in Worship

    Music ministry plays a vital role in enhancing worship experiences within the church. It encompasses various forms of expression, including:

    • Playing an Instrument: Musicians contribute to the overall sound and atmosphere of worship through their instrumental talents.

    • Singing on the Praise Team: Vocalists lead the congregation in song, helping to uplift spirits and create an environment of praise.


    The Joy of Movement in Worship

    You're never too young to dance for God! Dancing is a beautiful expression of worship that can be embraced by all ages. Remember to:

    • Offer your body as a living sacrifice of praise.

    • Engage in joyful movement that reflects your love and devotion to God.

    Incorporating music and movement into your worship can deepen your connection to faith and community.

  • Dance Ministry: You're never too young to dance for God! Present your body as a living sacrifice of praise.


Sunday School Classes


Sunday School is a fantastic way for all ages to learn about the Bible in a structured environment. Classes are available for:


  • Children: Engaging lessons that teach biblical stories and values through crafts and activities. Ages 2-5

  • Youth: Relevant discussions that address the challenges faced by teenagers today, all grounded in faith. Ages 6-11

  • Infant Care: We know how difficult it is sometimes for moms to be involved after having a little one. We want to help take the pressure off of you so you are able to worship freely. Ages 3mo - 24mo.


Bible Study Groups


At the heart of Resurrection Church Auburn is a commitment to deepening faith through Bible study. The church offers several options for members to engage with Scripture and grow spiritually.


Online Bible Study Resources


For those unable to attend in person, RCA offers online Bible study resources. These include:


  • Zoom Recordings: Access recorded lessons that can be watched at your convenience.

  • Discussion Forums: Engage with other members online to discuss lessons and share insights.


Small Group Bible Studies


Small group Bible studies provide an intimate setting for discussion and exploration of biblical texts. These groups typically meet weekly and focus on:

    • Breakfast: Share a meal and enjoy fellowship with others. Everyone is encouraged to bring a bible and notepad, Discipleship on Tuesdays is an intimate time with Pastor LaShund. A time to ask personal questions, get clarity and understanding of the scriptures. Every Tuesday morning at 7am.


    Other various events throughout the year include:

    • Game Nights: Enjoy a fun evening filled with board games, card games, and friendly competition. These nights are perfect for families and individuals alike.

    • Outdoor Activities: From picnics in the park to hiking trips, outdoor events allow members to connect with nature and each other.
