People who score highest with an Evangelist position are Story Tellers* in the Kingdom of God. They make the stories of Jesus’s remarkable goodness and love famous. They are the carrier of good news and partner with Jesus in celebrating people’s transformation. They stir curiosity and desire to know Jesus. Their life is a living invitation to all to join the Family of God
People who score highest with a Pastoral position are Soul Healers* in the Kingdom of God. They are instrumental in guiding people through brokenness back to wholeness and healing their soul from wounds that keep them where they are. They create a safe atmosphere of family and belonging. They bring fun and enjoyment to God's ministry and allow people to feel like they are part of a greater family.
People who score highest with a Teaching Position are Light Givers* in the Kingdom of God. They make the truth and knowledge about God accessible to all. They have an ability for breaking confusion and misinformation. They are strategic in helping people know the truth of God and also how it applies to their own life.
The Five Fold Ministry
The Fivefold Ministry refers to the essential spiritual roles of Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor, and Teacher as outlined in the book of Ephesians. This divine blueprint serves as a foundational strategy for equipping believers and expanding the Kingdom of God.
During His earthly ministry, Jesus served as the perfect model, embodying every one of these giftings. Because Christ resides within us (Galatians 2:20), we are empowered to walk as He walked (1 John 2:6) and carry forward the mission He initiated (John 14:16). We are commissioned to disciple all nations (Matthew 28:19-20) and serve as ministers of reconciliation, restoring all things to God (2 Corinthians 5:17-19).
Through Christ’s presence in our lives, God fulfills His divine will on Earth (Philippians 2:13). Within the global church, we see the unique manifestations of these five roles operating through individuals. Every believer possesses a specific gift and purpose designed to contribute to the collective work of Christ.
Rooted in Ephesians 4:11-16, the Fivefold Ministry provides a structural framework intended to prepare the saints for service and ensure the strengthening of the Body of Christ.
This ministry model remains vital for the modern era. Scripture clarifies that these roles are necessary to build up the Church until we all reach a unified faith, deep knowledge, and the full spiritual maturity that reflects the fullness of Christ.
Some argue these roles are no longer relevant, yet to do so implies that the Church has already attained absolute unity and maturity. Given that the Body of Christ continues to grow globally and faces internal divisions across many denominations, it is clear that we have not yet reached that final state of completion.
Consequently, the Church will continue to develop and mature until the return of Christ. Until then, the Fivefold Ministry remains the primary operating structure provided by the Apostle Paul for our growth.
